Google improve one of its services, Google Maps. The search engine giant will describe the five countries, namely Taiwan, Malaysia, Poland, Romania, and Russia, with more accurate on Google Maps.
More accurate data, thanks to Google's initiative called 'Ground Truth'. At the start in 2008, Ground Truth is the way Google gets a better mapping data from strong sources, and then apply the algorithms, the data satellite and Street View, as well as input from a human to make the data Maps are always new.
Based on the Business Insider notes, that was quoted on Monday (08/09/2014), currently in 50 countries map has been updated through the Ground Truth.
Further explained that Google also has launched Map Maker and Report A Problem in Taiwan, Russia, and Malaysia. Thus, the people as a resource mapping process can contribute to give them hands-on experience to describe a variety of things such as parks, new roads, and other interesting places.
The purpose of all this is that Google Maps always presenting the latest data and more accurate. Product Manager Google Maps, Manik Gupta, said that many 'miracle' behind Maps derived from the people.
